Share what God told my mother after I overdosed
Testimony is not just a story, but it's who you are
What is a Testimony?
What is a Testimony?
It is an account of something God did in or around you
Not just a good story or a time-line of your life
A proper testimony has 3 parts: what life was like before, what God did to redeem it, and who He revealed Himself to be through that act
(Share my personal testimony with this format)
It is something to be passed along for the generations
Not something to be kept for ourselves
Psalm 78:1-7
Testimony is given in the wilderness, and replicated in the promise land
What does that mean for me?
What does that mean for me?
;
Through this one woman's testimony, an entire town came to know who Jesus is and believed in Him
This is our task, to take the testimony God gives us and by both word of mouth and action replicate this around us
Your testimony is for the edification of other believers, and to confront unbelief in those who do not yet know God
There may be a friend, loved one or another Christian you know that needs to hear and receive a testimony you have. Because what God did for you, He wants to also let that person know He'll do it for them too.
As Christ followers, we are often put in a position to give witness to who God truly is, like in a courtroom. When we give that true testimony, it is up to those questioning you to decide to believe or not to believe.
Scripture tells us that to not believe a true testimony is to call God a liar, because a testimony is from Him and about Him
To reject the testimony is to reject God, not you.
Closing
Closing
Encourage everyone to not be afraid to share testimony
Man can try but never succeed in taking your testimony away
God deals with those who reject His testimony, and rewards those faithful to share His testimony
If you are born again, you have a testimony. You don't have to go through major sin or hardship to have a testimony. Everyone's testimony is the gospel!
Remember that testimony is not just the story, it is who you are. God has fashioned you to be a living witness of His goodness and love to everyone you come around. Be proud of who God has made you to be and what He's done for you. There's an entire world out there desperate for people like you to reveal who God truly is. Your testimony is an open door for those who don't yet know Him to"Come and See" Him for themselves.
There are also other believers in the midst of a hard wilderness season that by your testimony, will get a taste of the promise land and will keep moving through the wilderness until they get there.
God promises that those who believe, signs and wonders will follow. Your faithfulness and boldness will always be confirmed by God Himself.
(Pray for boldness, for God to call out and call forth testimony, that this youth and this church would have a culture of testimony and prophecy, that all would Come and See the one true God for who He is)
